Kindergarteners Go to College!

We send out a huge thank you to South Plains College for hosting such a meaningful and engaging College Day for our youngest learners. It's never too early to talk about college with kindergarten students, and experiences like Kindergarten College Day show just how powerful those early moments can be. Our Littles were introduced to college and career pathways last week. This helps them begin to see a future full of possibilities. These early experiences aren’t about pressure, but about exposure. Kindergarten College Day allowed students to explore a variety of pathways, from biology and science to fine arts, and from library research and books to physical education. By seeing these fields up close, students begin to make connections between what they enjoy and the careers they could pursue one day. We know that some students may choose to attend a four-year university, while others may find their passion in technical programs or trade schools. South Plains College offers a wide range of opportunities that prepare students for high-demand, skilled careers right here in our region. By focusing on careers early, we help students build a sense of purpose in their learning. They begin to understand that school is not just about today, it’s about preparing for a future they can start imagining right now. Thank you South Plains College, for helping us plant the seed!
