Going on a Bear Hunt!

ABC students from Mrs. Desiree Nock's class were caught in Miss Joanna Forbes' music class while "Going on a Bear Hunt." Students had to overcome the obstacles and swish through the make-believe grass field, swim through the river, squish through the mud, and crawl through the cave during this fantastic journey. Without knowing it the littles reviewed spatial concepts such as over and under while using gross motor skills and made big motions with their arms and legs. Miss Forbes says that her students are learning teamwork as well as different musical concepts like fast and slow, the music beat, and moving to rhythms when we do this activity. They will follow up this activity by learning about the "beat" and using rhythm sticks next time! Thank you, Miss Forbes, for engaging your students in such valuable learning.
